Starting A Business Today…

If I had to start all over again with no audience, no money, and no product, here’s exactly what I would do to build a solid foundation for a profitable online business.

1. Start With One Low-Ticket Offer

I wouldn’t try to sell a bunch of things at once. Instead, I’d focus on just one product or service priced between $1 and $50. Why? Because low-ticket offers are an easy yes. They lower the barrier for people to say “I’ll try it,” and that’s where relationships and trust begin.

Your first offer doesn’t have to be perfect—it just needs to solve a small problem for someone. Think checklists, templates, planners, digital guides, or even a 30-minute call if you're in the service space.

2. Grow My Network Daily

Every single day, I’d send out at least 20 friend requests to people who are in my ideal audience. This can be done on platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, or even Instagram.

But I wouldn’t just send a request and wait. I’d immediately follow up with a free lead magnet—something valuable and relevant to what I do. You probably know these as freebies. Things like:

  • A downloadable worksheet

  • A free challenge

  • A checklist or quiz

  • A 3-day email series

The goal here is to build your email list, establish a connection, and begin nurturing that audience.

3. Become Known for ONE Thing

Before I ever try to launch multiple offers, I’d focus on getting known for one clear thing. This could be:

  • Helping moms stick to routines

  • Teaching new entrepreneurs how to budget

  • Creating personalized to-do list accountability plans

This level of clarity builds brand recognition, trust, and momentum. Once you’re known for helping solve that one specific problem, everything else becomes easier to sell.

4. Choose a Smart Starting Model

If you’re a service-based business, you’re already at an advantage. It’s often easier to get started offering a skill or service—like coaching, writing, designing, or consulting—because you don’t need inventory or product development.

But if your goal is to be product-based, don’t stress. You can still start with something digital—a download, eBook, digital course, or printable. From there, you can transition into services (like setup help or coaching) and eventually physical products if that’s your end goal.

Final Thoughts

Success doesn’t have to be complicated. The formula is simple:

  • Start small.

  • Grow your people.

  • Offer real value.

  • Stay focused.

If you stay consistent with these simple steps, you'll build not just a business—but a brand that actually makes an impact.
